Bill Ferriter, one of three top-shelf bloggers featured on the Teacher Leaders Network website, is the winner of the 2007 prize for “Best Teacher Blog” (The Tempered Radical) in the pretty prestigious EduBlog Awards competition. Bill teaches sixth grade social studies and language arts at Salem Middle School in Wake County NC. He’s a charter member and former Senior Fellow of TLN and was a North Carolina regional teacher of the year in 2006. He was also an early achiever of National Board Certification (1996). Bill developed his writing chops writing articles and essays for a wide variety of publications, although he’s probably best known (other than for his great TLN blog, of course) for his regular column in NSDC’s Teachers Teaching Teachers monthly newsletter.
