Teacher voices on the “Answer Sheet”

Last spring, Washington Post education reporter Valerie Strauss began a concerted effort to get more teacher voices into the national policy debate by offering teachers guest posting space at her blog The Answer Sheet.

The teacher guests have joined an eclectic mix of other educators, researchers, think-tank wonks, and book authors like Dan Willingham. The resulting mix — spiced up by Strauss’s own posts highlighting important new information and contradictions she sees in some federal policy actions — makes Answer Sheet one of the most balanced and best daily ed reads out there.

Members of the Teacher Leaders Network who have guested so far include: Anthony CodyLarry FerlazzoJane Ching Fung,Patrick Ledesma and Mary Tedrow. Strauss likes to hear ideas about possible guest posts by teachers — visit The Answer Sheet and find out how to get in touch.
