CTQ supports teachers to develop innovative solutions that bring together the academic and social needs of their students and the communities they serve.
Justin Minkel teaches first grade at Jones Elementary—a high-performing, high-poverty school where 85 percent of students are English language learners. Justin hypothesized that his students' restricted access to books at home contributed to low literacy rates in his classroom.
