Technology Gives Kids Power
Should We Be Engaging or Empowering Learners?
Nice analogy, although I rather like Cheerios. All Bran is quite a different story. We have ventured into a tail-wags-dog situation where administrators’ and legislators’ infatuation with technology is driving, rather than supporting, instruction. Technology is a tool, and, like any tool, it is only as useful as the person wielding it.
I think we have to give teachers a break. There is a continuum of tech use and if Stage 1 is a boring lesson with tech then so be it. I do agree that it is the person and not the technology that makes the lesson. The teacher has to know how to engage the kids and create learning first, then they can meet the students in their world using technology.
Are YOU Drowning Cheerios inAre YOU Drowning Cheerios in Sugar? A very intelligent question, I got help from best essays about it. Bill Ferriter appreciate what you have shared here. The flickr slide you shared really helped me with it, appreciated.
