Are you an accomplished teacher reader?

Teacher leaders in the U.S. may want to grab a free subscription to “Accomplished Teacher,” a new five-day-a-week e-newsletter published by SmartBrief, the company that specializes in putting together daily news briefings around special interests like education.

The new service is sponsored by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, and the content is focused primarily on stories thought to be of interest to National Board Certified Teachers and others in the NBPTS orbit. As it turns out, many of those same stories will also interest to non-NBCTs who serve in teacher leadership roles or simply operate at a high professional level.

Anyone can subscribe. Just visit this page and leave your email address. You can also view a sample issue.

The Accomplished Teacher newsletter launched in October, and we were pleased to see that one of the “most clicked” stories so far highlights a TeacherSolutions report on the value of NB Certification, written by a team of teachers, most of whom are members of the Teacher Leaders Network Forum.

The co-authors of the report, Measuring What Matters, include: (team leader) Nancy Flanagan, NBCT (Michigan); Anthony Cody, NBCT (California); Susan Graham, NBCT (Virginia); Ellen Holmes, NBCT (Maine); Andy Kuemmel, NBCT (Wisconsin); Patrick Ledesma, NBCT (Virginia); Margarita Mendez, NBCT (California); Kimberly Oliver, NBCT (Maryland); Kathy Pham, NBCT (Florida); and Carolann Wade, NBCT (North Carolina).
