THE CAMPAIGN FOR FISCAL EQUITY, INC
The Campaign for Fiscal Equity, Inc., a not-for-profit corporation, is a coalition of parent organizations, community school boards, concerned citizens and advocacy groups. We seek to reform New York State's school finance system to ensure adequate resources and the opportunity for a sound basic education for all students in New York City.

CENTER ON EDUCATION POLICY (CEP)
The Center on Education Policy (CEP) is the national, independent advocate for public education and for more effective public schools.

COUNCIL OF CHIEF STATE SCHOOL OFFICERS (CCSSO)
CCSSO is a nationwide, nonprofit organization composed of the public officials who head departments of elementary and secondary education in the states, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Education Activity, and five extra-state jurisdictions.

EDUCATION COMMISSION OF THE STATES (ECS)
The Education Commission of the States mission is to help state leaders identify, develop and implement public policy for education that addresses current and future needs of a learning society.

EDUCATION TRUST
Established in 1990 by the American Association for Higher Education (AAHE) as a special project to encourage colleges and universities to support K-12 reform efforts, the Education Trust has grown into an independent nonprofit organization whose mission is to make schools and colleges work for all of the young people they serve. The Ed Trust believes that it is impossible to achieve significant change in K-12 without simultaneously changing the way that postsecondary education does business.

THE FINANCE PROJECT
The Finance Project seeks to improve policymaking strategies aimed at better results for children, families, and communities by fostering more effective policies, improved services, better management, increased collaboration and community involvement.

INTERSTATE NEW TEACHER ASSESSMENT AND SUPPORT CONSORTIUM (INTASC)
Created in 1987, the Interstate New Teacher Assessment and Support Consortium (INTASC) is a consortium of state education agencies, higher education institutions, and national educational organizations dedicated to the reform of the education, licensing, and on-going professional development of teachers.

NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF STATE DIRECTORS OF TEACHER EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION (NASDTEC)
The National Association of State Directors of Teacher Education and Certification (NASDTEC) is the organization that represents professional standards boards and commissions and state departments of education in all 50 states, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Dependent Schools, the U.S. Territories, New Zealand, and British Columbia, which are responsible for the preparation, licensure and discipline of educational personnel.

NATIONAL BOARD FOR PROFESSIONAL TEACHING STANDARDS (NBPTS)
The National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS) works to strengthen the teaching profession and to improve student learning in America's schools through the establishment of high standards for what accomplished teachers should know and be able to do. It is developing a new system of advanced, voluntary certification for teachers.

NATIONAL CONFERENCE OF STATE LEGISLATURES (NCSL)
The National Conference on State Legislatures (NCSL) provides comprehensive information and research on critical state issues to legislative members and their staffs across the country through its informative publications, meetings and legislative information database.

NATIONAL GOVERNORS ASSOCIATION
The National Governors Associations (NGA) is the only bipartisan national organization of, by, and for the nations' Governors. Through NGA, the Governors identify priority issues and deal collectively with issues of public policy and governance at both the national and state levels.

NATIONAL STAFF DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL
The National Staff Development Council (NSDC) is an 8,000-member nonprofit professional association committed to ensuring success for all students through staff development and school improvement.

PUBLIC EDUCATION NETWORK
The mission of the Public Education Network (PEN) is to build public demand and mobilize resources for quality public education for all children through a national constituency of local education funds and individuals.

RURAL SCHOOL AND COMMUNITY TRUST
The Rural School and Community Trust is a national nonprofit organization rooted in rural America. The Trust works with a network of schools and community groups striving to improve the quality of education and community life and to improve state policy on education.

TEACHERS NETWORK
Teachers Network is a national nonprofit organization that supports classroom teachers in the United States. The Teachers Network supports innovative teachers who exemplify professionalism, independence, and creativity in public school systems.

TEACHERS NETWORK POLICY INSTITUTE (TNPI)
The Teachers Network Policy Institute (TNPI), a project of Teachers Network, was established to improve student achievement by bringing the teachers' voice to education policymaking.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (US DOE)
The U.S. Department of Education's mission is to ensure equal access to education and to promote educational excellence for all Americans.
