In October 2010, CTQ forged a new partnership with the US Department of Education (ED). CTQ is facilitating monthly teacher talks with members of our Teacher Leaders Network (TLN) and representatives from ED to provide feedback and recommendations for the Department to consider as they formulate new policies and programs. Each month, we will examine one aspect of ESEA reauthorization, with our initial conversations focused on measuring and defining teaching effectiveness. Recommendations from the Talking with ED webinars will be forthcoming in early 2011 – including ideas generated from an online conversation (on December 16, 2010) with Secretary of Education Arne Duncan.
