By incorporating student achievement , professional development, peer-to-peer collaboration, teacher leadership and measures of teaching effectiveness into compensation decisions, strategic compensation seeks to reward the
most effective teachers and teacher leaders for using, and spreading, their expertise to other teachers in their schools and districts.
