Melissa Rasberry, Policy Associate

Melissa A. Rasberry is a policy associate at the Center for Teaching Quality. Prior to joining the staff at CTQ, Melissa was a third grade teacher and a principal intern at two diverse elementary schools in an urban district. While completing doctoral coursework in educational leadership at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Melissa taught two courses in the school’s undergraduate elementary education program (Learning and Development in the Elementary Classroom and Culture, Society, and Teaching). At CTQ, her primary duties include working directly with six middle schools in the ASSET Partnership; collecting and analyzing qualitative research data; facilitating external communications on several projects; and assisting with the development of surveys and evaluation plans. Melissa also helps to coordinate the Teacher Leaders Network and its related initiatives, including the NEA-funded National Board Summits in five different states. She holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
