Ed Fuller, Senior Research Associate Edward Fuller, Ph.D, is an Adjunct Professor in the Educational Policy and Planning program at The University of Texas–Austin. He is also Project Manager for the Study of High School Restructuring, a multi-million-dollar, five-year grant from the Houston A+ Challenge to evaluate high school reform initiatives. He started his career in education teaching mathematics in an urban high school and in a diverse rural high school. After completing his master’s degree in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin, he worked as a Director of Evaluation at the Charles A. Dana Center at the University of Texas-Austin. His work there included the completion of numerous analyses on student achievement, teacher quality, school effectiveness, and evaluations of various educational improvement efforts in mathematics and science. After completion of a PhD in Educational Administration from The University of Texas at Austin with a specialization in policy and planning, he worked as co-director of research at the Texas State Board for Educator Certification. While there, Ed conducted numerous studies on teacher supply and demand, shortages, and quality. He presented these findings to the Texas legislature and the Governor's Office. Ed’s topics as an author include teacher certification and qualification and trust as the basis for urban school reform. His articles have been published in Education and Urban Society, The School Administrator, Theory into Practice, and other journals. He has presented over 50 papers at national academic conferences.
