Melissa Rasberry, Policy Associate
Melissa A. Rasberry is a policy associate at the Center for Teaching Quality. Prior to joining the staff at CTQ, Melissa was a third grade teacher and a principal intern at two diverse elementary schools in an urban district. While completing graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Melissa taught two courses in the school’s undergraduate elementary education program (Learning and Development in the Elementary Classroom and Culture, Society, and Teaching). At CTQ, her primary duties include managing numerous projects that merge policy and teacher leadership; collecting and analyzing qualitative research data; moderating virtual learning communities; and assisting with the writing and development of research and policy reports. Melissa’s areas of interest span the teaching continuum, from recruitment and preparation to compensation and retention. She holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
