Melissa Rasberry, Director of Project Management

Melissa A. Rasberry is the Director of Project Management at the Center for Teaching Quality. In this role, Melissa provides support to the Chief Operating Officer and program staff in organizing the planning and implementation activities for all project work. She also oversees the development of and ongoing use of our project management system. Prior to joining the staff at CTQ, Melissa served as a third grade teacher and a principal intern at two diverse elementary schools in Durham, North Carolina. While completing graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Melissa taught two courses in the school’s undergraduate elementary education program (Learning and Development in the Elementary Classroom; and Culture, Society, and Teaching). In addition to her duties as Director of Project Management, Melissa also oversees numerous projects that merge policy and teacher leadership; collects and analyzes qualitative research data; moderates virtual learning communities; and assists with the writing and development of research and policy reports. Melissa’s areas of interest span the teaching continuum, from recruitment and preparation to compensation and retention. She holds an Ed.D. in educational leadership from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
