Girija Mahajan, Policy Assistant

Girija Mahajan works as a policy assistant to the CTQ program team. She grew up in Urbandale, Iowa where she attended the Johnston Public Schools. Girija completed her undergraduate (Political Science and International Studies) and graduate (Social Foundations of Education) studies at the University of Iowa. During her university career, she worked at the UI Center for Human Rights coordinating a variety of social justice programs for students and community members. Girija taught for two years in a New York City public school before moving to North Carolina.
