Braden Welborn, Director of Communications

Braden brings a passion for educational equity and a background in teaching, writing, and nonprofit communications to her role at CTQ. Prior to moving to North Carolina, Braden served as the assistant director of grant writing and communications for City Academy, an innovative independent school in St. Louis, Missouri. A native of Alabama, she has also worked for the A+ Education Foundation of Alabama as communications director and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute as coordinator of information resources. She holds master’s degrees in English and American literature (Washington University in St. Louis) and creative writing (University of Alabama) and has substantial experience as a teacher, tutor, and mentor of K-12 and undergraduate students.
