Alice Williams, Communications and Policy Associate
Alice Williams works on communications and ongoing teacher leadership initiatives at CTQ. She served as project leader for CTQ's development of a cutting-edge virtual learning platform for teacher collaboration. Alice also guides the the work of a CTQ/TLN TeacherSolutions team exploring the future of teaching in preparation for a book to be published by Teachers College Press.
Prior to joining CTQ, Alice worked as a journalist and editor covering several domestic policy arenas including education, affordable housing and mental health care. Alice has also worked in a wide range of educational settings: as a coordinator for an ESL program in the Hell’s Kitchen neighborhood of New York City; a technology teacher in west Philadelphia; a K-12 reading instructor throughout North Carolina; a writing instructor at Duke University and Central Carolina Community College; and as an educational director for Sylvan Learning Centers. A New Jersey native, Alice earned an MA degree in English literature from Duke University.
